Linklaters is advising FTSE 250-listed housebuilder Vistry Group on its combination with Countryside Partnerships in a £1.25 billion cash and share deal.

The deal is expected to create one of the country’s leading homebuilders, comprising a top tier housebuilder and a leading partnerships business, with capability across all housing tenures.

Iain Fenn, Partner, commented:

“This combination has a strong strategic rationale strengthening the Vistry proposition across both housebuilding and partnerships. We are delighted to support Vistry in the structuring and implementation of the combination, building on our previous highly successful collaborations with the Vistry management team.”

The cross-practice team advising Vistry is being led by Iain FennCharles Turner and Matthew Hearn from the Linklaters corporate team. Jonathan Ford and Natura Gracia are advising on antitrust aspects; whilst banking partner Toby Grimstone and managing associate Atish Shah are leading on finance elements.
